I have to brag a little about my cute Russ and the great father that he is to our two boys. He amazes me at his ability to make any situation fun. He can come up with a funny song at the drop of a hat and Cole will be singing it for days. He doesn't seem to get stressed out the way I do when he has both boys -- it seems so easy for him. Cole is his little buddy and loves to do anything with him - playing frisbee, shooting hoops, looking for sticks, etc. I am so thankful that Russ is the father of my children - a blessing that I didn't fully understand until we had children. I love you Russ -- Happy Father's Day!
I got Russ a shop vacuum for Father's Day. To some this may seem silly, but the fact that we now have a garage to use it in makes all the difference in the world! Russ can't wait to be able to get real "manly" gifts like tools and outdoor gear -- maybe when we're out of school, but for now a silly vacuum is exciting! Russ also got a pass to see Indiana Jones on the big screen, without a wife or kids to distract him from the movie. And since we are so new to the area and all Russ' friends are in various parts of the country, he went by himself.
We went on an early evening stroll after dinner and both boys fell asleep in the stroller. Church is in the middle of both of their naps, so they were especially tired. Aren't they cute when they are sleeping?!

A shop vac is definitely a Father's Day present. I am sure my dad asked for one of those one year. Maybe it's a Jacobson thing?
Hmm..
We all new russ would be a great dad! I love you russ! We understand the shop vac thing, it might just be jake's next b-day present :).
Hey I found your blog - I googled you! Anyway check out our blog at patchworkofmemories.blogspot.com! CONGRATS on graduation and your kids are ADORABLE.
Jared and Stephanie Strawn
We are glad to see your move went well. It's fun to check in and see how you are doing. You're boys are adorable, you make such a cute family!
You really are blessed, both of you. Always nice to have a "keeper", what a blessing. Katrina, don't you actually love buying man gifts. I always thought it was fun. Somehow it's not as fun to buy those man gifts for myself but they seem to be stuff you need to run a house. The vacuum will be a good investment. Just wait until one of your little guys makes a "big mess" and it will be straight to work... you wait, something always happens that will make you laugh a couple days after you've lived through it! Looks like you're all settled and happy. Hopefully you have avoided all the floods, stay safe.
Didn't want you to worry about who checked your blog out from Israel. I was looking at Chersties and saw your name. Glad you didn't get washed away in the flood. Tell Russ good luck with school and your little boys sure our cute.
Hi from B and Ashley White in Israel
Thanks for sharing...I love the pics of the boys asleep. Too cute!
Dude, I WISH I had cause to receive a shop vac. I think I want to Garage MORE than I actually want a house! How cool that russ is a no stress daddy. most guys could NOT claim that!
Looks like Russ got a sweet gift! Any guy would love to get a shop vac. It looks like all is going well with you guys. Keep in touch.
