We went to the Wilson Apple Orchard to pick a few apples. The weather was just perfect - not to hot, but warm. Russ carried Garett in the front pack and he loved it. He was kicking his legs and waving his arms the whole time. Cole liked picking apples, but the tricky part was keeping his feet out of the rotten apples. We picked a few varieties of apples to eat and one variety to make an apple pie -- yes, I made a pie all by myself! I felt really domestic, even thought it wasn't the prettiest pie I've ever seen. Cole and Russ enjoyed it (I didn't have any because I'm not a big fan of cooked fruit), so it was a success! We also bought a half gallon of apple cider as a treat. Cider always reminds me of fall, so it was a great way to welcome the fall season!
Russ hoisted Cole up to get an apple while carrying Garrett - now that it talent!
Can you reach it? S..t..r..e..t..c..h..
Russ enjoying a crisp apple - you were welcome eat an apple as you picked

These pictures are so cute! It looks like you guys are enjoying where you live. I hope so, it was also nice to hear that Cole has done so well since you have moved. We love you guys!
I miss you guys! I have been thinking about you lately and I wish we could just drop by and visit.
I love the fall, I love cooler weather, and I can't believe you made an apple pie and didn't even eat any!
We miss you guys so much, we can't wait to see you again. Myron said he is coming to visit, sounds fun!! You have the cutest boys!
What a fun fall family adventure. So proud of you for even attempting a pie. I can't even make a decent looking one with Pillsbury crusts! Enjoy the fall air.
Great minds think alike, I see! It's such a great fall activity.
We are so beyond excited that you guys are going to Utah for Christmas, too!! We just keep talking about it and how excited we are. We were talking with Joshua about what to get Cole for Christmas and he was excited that he will get to give it to him in person and not just send it in the mail! Yay! Thanks for making our week, or month, or maybe even semester! :)
Hey Katrina and fam! I found your blog address on Heather's. How fun! Looks like you guys are doing well! It's fun to see what you're up to. Your kids are so cute! Maybe we'll see you next year at the reunion, that seems like a long ways away. :)
Oh, I miss those fun traditions. I need to see if there is an orchard close by us. That looks so fun, and yummy too. Plus doesn't it just make you feel like fall?

We bought some nice crisp apples yesterday. Seeing your blog makes me want to eat one.
