I think that boxing up a house has to be one of the most miserable things! I am so particular about how I want it done (labels typed in the upper left hand corner, everything in uniform boxes, only 'like' things in each box, etc) and am realizing that I need to let a few of my OCD tendencies go. I am about to drive Russ crazy! Poor Cole has been a trooper through it all. This is a picture of him trying to play amid the madness. I couldn't help but laugh - he is still in his p.j.s, wearing a hard hat (he was in a danger zone!), and trying to play baseball. You can also see where Garrett had to spend some of his time so he didn't get lost amongst the boxes and packing. Our poor boys will love it when we finally get moved and unpacked so they can have some normalcy back. I don't know if they know exactly what is going on, but Cole can tell something is happening. He knows he's going to Iowa, but I wonder what that means to him. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks!!
We had to take a break from packing to have a little fun, so I took Cole to the fountains at the mall. He absolutely loves getting wet and running through the water. He is one of the only kids that will get totally soaked and laugh while doing it. He plays really hard for about twenty-five minutes and then is ready to go. We will miss the fountains! I hope we can find something similar when we move. Cole also had is pals, Ryker and Daxton, over for our final night of co-op. They have become such great friends - I also hope Cole will be able to find some new buddies to pal around with. We have made so many good friends it is going to be hard to leave.

I totally hear ya on the packing. It is miserable. Good luck! Iowa will be lucky to have you! How long is the orthodontic program?
What an adventure! Enjoy this great time with your "little" family. It will pass so fast and you won't believe you ever did this. I need your help with organization skills for our move!
Packing is never fun. I can't believe your organization, labels, and in the same corner and all this with two kids around. Oh my! Good luck with packing and I'm sure things will go well in Iowa too.
Good luck with the packing and moving. I know how good you are with all of this. It seems like just yesterday you were helping me do all this in our apartment. You were my lifesaver!! Wish I could be there to help you with all of it now. We'll be thinking about you guys. I just wish you were moving to Vegas instead of Iowa!
I am dreading doing the same thing in just a few weeks with Macy and the twins! Mark and I are seriously considering having movers come in and move us! It is almost impossible with kids (especially babies)to get anything done. You sound completely organized! I loved your comment about putting Garrett up on the dryer so he didn't get lost in all of the chaos. Your boys are soooo cute! Have fun at graduation this weekend and good luck with the move! I can't wait to hear how you like Iowa!
such is the insane life of a student. i totally feel sick everytime i think about moving. yes, it is time to just throw things into boxes and go, lady! With 2 kids (esp. a baby), the simpler the better! Best of luck in your new place. Starting over is so hard!
What a job packing is!! I think the dreaded packing is what has kept us in this apartment for two years - who wants to move if you really don't HAVE to!?! Good luck with everything - you guys have so much going on this week! And congrats to Russell, we are so proud of him, and you, too, Katrina! It's definitely not been a one man job!
Packing is miserable!! The madness, chaos, and anxiety of it all makes me tired for you! Good Luck!!
I was curious where exactly you will be going in Iowa? One of my best friends from growing up is there (her hubby is in med. school) and she has an adorable little boy. If you were near her I could give you her info- I am sure you would love each other. Good luck... moving stinks. I am OCD at the beginning, but by the end I am just throwing stuff in boxes marked MISC... ha! ha!
p.s. you can tell me more about Iowa through e-mail if you want to keep it more private...amescharlyn@hotmail.com
