Cole got his tonsils and adenoids out on Tuesday. We went in on Monday to see the doctor and he took one look and said, "Ya, they need to come out." They were huge! No wonder he snored like a trucker! Dr. Smith asked if we could come the next morning for surgery, so we went at 7:00 AM. The doctors, nurses, and the entire experience was fantastic. I couldn't have been happier!
Cole did great and was really brave. I was able to walk him back to the OR and hold him while they put him under. I was so glad to be able to be with him -- hopefully it made it easier on him as well. Our next door neighbor was one of the surgeons that was on Cole's case, so he was also relieved to see Dr. Richard there. After surgery I was able to hold him as he came out of the anesthesia and for a few hours in the post-op room. He did so great that we were released quite quickly.
His voice has changed a little and as long as we keep his pain medication in him, he's doing great. He is loving the popcicles and ice cream, but gets frustrated when he can't eat crackers or anything that will be hard to swallow. I think he's a little hungry because jello and yogurt aren't very filling.
Good job, Cole! You were super brave and we're proud of you!!

I am glad that things went well! Kaden had his tonsils and adnoid removed in January for the same reason. Kids are tough!
I'm happy things went well for Cole. You will be so happy that he got them out now while he's young. It will save so much trouble later on! Hope everything else is well.
It's pretty amazing how tough these little guys are, huh?! Glad it was a good experience for all!
Glad things went good. Good job Cole. You guys look cute in your stylish hospital gowns. We sure miss you guys!
What a champ! Glad things went well and that he did great and is doing great!
What a trooper! When I got to the last picture I didn't realize what I was looking at until I read the caption and then I almost vomited...thanks. Just teasin! Those were huge...how is the snoring now?!
What a rough month for your boys! First Russ loses MJ and now Cole loses his tonsils. I can't believe those pictures. Man...what Cole hasn't been through already. He is one tough boy! The question is HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP??? If you're anything like me, I'd be a wreck. I definitely need to call you so we can get caught up on everything. Hope Cole is doing better now. Talk to you soon!
